​Born in Germany and relocated to the West Coast in 1997, I have been creating mosaic art since 2001. Focusing on 3D art and murals, my topics often circle around the flora and fauna of my chosen home state California. My pragmatic approach based on studying with Italian masters and contemporary mosaic teachers has led me to create public and structurally sound mosaic art that the participants have an ongoing proud connection with. Highly experienced in project planning and teamwork, I am leading and contributing to large community mosaic art projects with participants of all abilities in the US and Europe. I thoroughly enjoy introducing communities to this ancient art form while also teaching them the vast possibilities of different materials from traditional to repurposed. My dream of having an extensive workshop space and studio became reality with its new location in Groveland, CA. Here I can now really work on bigger scale mosaic murals and statues.
